My wearable beaded art is an intimate exploration of nature’s profound beauty. Through the intricate process of bead weaving, I aim to translate the vastness and delicate detail of the world’s landscape, flora, and avifauna into an object that can be adorned and loved. I use size 15 Japanese Delica beads which creates a seamless tapestry; allowing me to paint a defined, detailed picture without the burden of weight. Each piece is an act of meticulous meditation where my unique, hand-drafted pattern guides the thousands of thread-and-bead connections. Ultimately, my work seeks to create a tangible connection between the wearer and the wilderness. It is a dedication to slow and deliberate craftsmanship; offering a unique, hypoallergenic piece of the wild that is as durable and distinct as the landscape that inspires it.
